FAQ: Golem Arcana

  1. I seem to have more Credits than I planned for when I Over-Pledged… where did that come from? During Jordan’s trip to China this past fall, he worked hard with our factory partners to maintain or exceed the quality of the prototypes while finding ways to trim costs through manufacturing efficiencies. The end result is we’ve managed to reduce costs for some of the Golems and we are passing these savings along to our Backers. With the change in Add-On prices, we want to make sure that you receive the same savings for the Golems that are already part of your reward tier. With that in mind, we directly granted additional Credit in your BackerKit Account to spend on anything from the Add-On menu. (amount varies by reward tier) Please read update #29 (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1613260297/golem-arcana/posts/697870), for the list of new prices and the amount of credit per reward tier.

  2. I still have some Credit left over – do I have to spend it? If I don’t spend all my Credits what happens to the extra? Anything you don’t spend, will become “Virtual Currency” that you will be able to spend in our future in-game storefront for Digital Units: Golem Knights, Blood Knights or Ancient Ones. We anticipate that Digital Units will be in the $1-3 range. We’ll have more information about Digital Units in the coming months.

  3. Is the “minimum 50 orders” for an individual Resin Golem still in effect? Yes, it is. And I’m afraid that we’ve had to cancel the ability to order Resin figures for launch, due to the lack of demand. If we later introduce resins, we’ll be sure to offer those at a discount to Kickstarter Backers.

  4. So the Dune Viper is now an Ogre and the Storm Weaver is now a Warsprite? Yes, based on further design of their sculptures, we felt that these figures were a better fit at these new sizes.

  5. I see the Zikia #3 and Urugal #3 in the Retail schedule, but not as Add-Ons? Yes, these sets contain entirely new Golems that haven’t been designed yet. We’ll be manufacturing the Earthfall and Carapace Brute as single figures to fulfill Kickstarter rewards, but we won’t have the other figures in the sets manufactured in time.

  6. If I order one of the Retail sets as an Add-On, do I actually get the Golems in a pretty retail box? What about if I’m receiving those same 3 Golems as part of my Reward? Wherever possible, we’ll deliver your Golems in the retail packaging, whether as part of your Reward tier or ordered as an Add-On.

  7. It looks like the art for the “Sand Kraken” has changed? Yes, as we finalized the miniatures design for manufacturing, we felt that the Sand Kraken no longer ‘fit’ with the rest of the Gudanna. See the the Kickstarter Update from 1/30 to read more about the new Golem design.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
